Ref Admits he Called it Wrong

A end of game drive for a field goal gave the Steelers a 11-10 win over the Chargers on Sunday, but the final play off the game is what everyone, especially Steelers fans, are talking about.

On the final play, quarterback Philip Rivers of the Chargers threw a 3-yard pass to RB L. Tomlinson, who then made a lateral to WR C. Chambers while time ran out. Chambers also lateraled, to keep the play alive but the Steelers' T. Polamalu scooped up the ball at the 12-yard line and ran it into the end zone for a touchdown. As the Steeelers were winding up to kick for the extra point, the referees huddled together and ruled the touchdown was no good. Later, after the game, referee Scott Green admitted he got the call wrong.

Luckily the call makes no outcome on the winner of the game, but its the talk of the town and certainly angered many people who had been gambling on the Steelers as the ruled no touchdown would have provided the spread.

Regardless, it was a good game and it was great to see the Chargers actually be competitive against a great team.

Who Rules the NFC East?

So who reins supreme over the NFC East? Well after last nights game between the Giants and the Eagles, it looks like its the Giants. Few had a doubt of the outcome of this game, but I was surprised at how much the running game played into the Giants defeat of the Eagles. One could also argue that McNabb got to a slow start for the first 2 quarters, and really only hit his stride when the heat was on. It was great to see all the fans out there with their official nfl jerseys supporting the Eagles and expectations rose to a high after a touchdown from a turnover in the first quarter by the Eagles. Regardless of team affliation, it was a great game between two great teams.

Donovan McNabb Leads Eagles Attack

What a fantastic performance by Donovan McNabb on Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks! I mean, 349 passing yards, how could one complain! I had a hard time deciding whether to start Eli Manning or McNabb but I sure am glad I picked McNabb as I figured the Seahawks performance thus far has been paltry at best. Unfortunately, my ability to pick and choose between Manning or McNabb in my FF leaugue is going to be a bit harder next week when they play each other but it'll make for a great game regardless. Don't forget to pick up your NFL Aapparel to show your team spirt.

London Calling!

So, anyone notice that the Saints and the Chargers were MIA? Maybe you forgot that they were playing across the pond! I originally used to think that sending teams over to London to play would never garner much attention but boy have I been proven wrong. There were quite a few fans (sold out) who came sporting their NFL apparel to support their respective teams and intrest in American football has been steadily increasing. One item I would suggest, would be to send at least one East Coast team along for any journey overseas, at least a New England based team could more easily garner fans than a Califonia team.

The World Series is Upon Us

The 104th World Series is now coming upon us and it'll be the Phillies and the Rays battling it out for the top spot as world champions. I have to admit, I thought both teams were great teams, but I didn't think this would be the series we'd have although I'm quite excited for them. If you'd like to show your support for your team, nothing says your a fan better than the official mlb jersey for your respective team. Check out our Phillies jerseys and you better snatch them up quick as they are going FAST!

Bobby Engram, Way to Let Us Down

So I have had Bobby Engram starting my last 2 games for my fantasy football in a hopes that he would break through his rust and put out some decent numbers... Let's call it an educated guess for someone lacking in WR department. Well it looks like I am still lacking because for a guy who had such a great '07 season and boosted nfl team jerseys for Seattle, he's getting nothing done now... way to let us down! Now the only question is, do I go hunting or hope for the best?

Brandon Jacobs!

So anyone else have Brandon Jacobs start for your fantasy football? All I can say is wow! Granted every league has varying scoring but in my Yahoo league he brought in a whopping 26.50 points to catapult me above my opponent and Donovan McNabb's paltry performance. Needless to say, Jacobs' performance would make me proud to wear a Giants' jersey, or some nfl sports apparel to show my enthusiasm with my lineups performance so far.
